Commander Mendoza came to VLR after a decade on the strength and conditioning staff of a Division I collegiate athletics program. Before that, he competed in powerlifting at the national level, totaling over 1,800 lbs in the 198 lb class. His philosophy is simple: the barbell is the great equalizer. It doesn't care about your background, your past, or your excuses โ only your effort. Rafael holds every major strength certification and has produced more total transformations than any other coach in the resistance.
